Fiona Henrich
Clinical Psychologist
Fiona is a proud, late-realised neuro-spicy, neuro-affirming Clinical Psychologist, who has worked in a variety of mental health settings for over 15 years. Her experience working with neurodivergent children, adolescents and adults during this time inspired her to seek a formal diagnosis as neurodivergent and as such offers a unique perspective in working with clients, drawn from her innate, lived experience, not just her qualifications.
She believes we all have an inherent, inner capacity to promote and harness our strengths and gifts in order to heal, transform and let go of outdated stories that no longer serve us. Healing involves the capacity for awareness, growth, resilience and change.
This process ensures that we access our ineffable potential for empowerment to move from survive to thrive. The healing in Fiona’s view, can occur most profoundly in the therapeutic relationship. As many of her clients have endured neurodivergent trauma, Fiona facilitates the healing process by blending cutting edge Neuro-science, Attachment Theory, Poly- Vagal theory within a holistic, soul-centred approach.
Fiona is Schema Therapy certified, trained in Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness Based therapies, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, EMDR and is also Internal Family Systems Therapy informed. Whilst some practitioners might focus on the science and centre themselves as the expert, Fiona focuses on the innate healing potential of the client’s own capacity to initiate healing, with their own insight and innate wisdom. With a compassionate, multi-disciplinary lens, Fiona offers her unique service as a trauma-informed therapist with her own lived experience, ready and willing to support you to elicit lasting change. Fiona works with all types of Neurodivergence, and is particularly passionate about working with emotionally sensitive and emotionally intense humans, as it is her SPIN! (special interest!).
Fiona works with clients across the lifespan, from ages 10 and upwards. Fiona also conducts Autism and ADHD diagnostic assessments; however waitlists might apply due to Fiona’s hectic PhD schedule.
