About the Workshops
Circle of Security Parenting™ is an 8-week, in-person workshop designed to help parents build stronger, more connected relationships with their children through a deeper understanding of emotional needs, attachment and regulation.
Led by Elke Braithwaite, Lead Psychologist at Mind and Movement Clinic and Mum, this program is best suited to expectant parents through parents with kids aged 0-5 years.
Sessions will be held in a warm and welcoming space on Lygon Street, Brunswick, directly opposite Mind & Movement Clinic.
We are now accepting expressions of interest for our upcoming August intake. Session dates can be found below.
Workshops will run weekly on Tuesday evenings. Places are limited, however additional groups may be offered based on community demand.
Register your interest below to be among the first to receive enrolment information.
This 8-week group focuses on helping you:
Understand your child’s emotional world by learning to read their emotional needs
Support your child’s ability to successfully manage their emotions
Enhance the development of your child's self esteem
Honour the innate wisdom and desire for your child to be secure
Reflect on your own responses to caregiving and providing a safe base
Building Secure Connections
Understand the Circle
We explore the “Circle of Security” and how children move between seeking comfort, reassurance, connection, and independence. Parents learn to better recognise and respond to their child’s emotional needs with confidence and care.
Bigger Feelings, Safer Connections
Children don’t always have the words for what they’re feeling. Together, we reflect on emotional regulation, attachment, and the ways secure relationships help children feel safe, seen, and supported.
Reflect Without Judgment
Parenting can bring up stress, uncertainty, and self-doubt. This workshop offers a compassionate, non-judgemental space to reflect on your parenting experiences, patterns, and challenges alongside other caregivers.
Connection Over Perfection
Circle of Security Parenting™ isn’t about being a perfect parent, it’s about building stronger, more connected relationships over time. Through practical tools and shared discussion, parents leave feeling more supported, informed, and equipped for everyday parenting moments.
